Britain’s Peer-to-Peer Lenders Provided £1.24 Billion Of Credit During 2014

Britain’s peer-to-peer lenders provided £1.24 billion of credit during 2014, taking total lending to more than £2.1 billion pounds, which is more than double the figure at the end of 2013.

This year may see peer-to-peer become a mainstream financing option as investors may be able to participate via their ISA’s in the near future. Either this year or next, the government is considering an ISA for peer-to-peer lending, following a treasury consultation in December.
